Sterilising re-useable instruments on a daily basis is essential for MediPedi - a dedicated foot and hand clinic which merges the medical aspects of podiatry and the finishing touches of the beauty industry.
The instruments, used in both podiatry and beauty components, are reused by being processed using an ultrasonic cleaner and then sterilised in a high-pressure steam autoclave. This process requires high purity demineralised water for optimum results.
MediPedi's clinics needed a way to ensure the sterility their equipment was maintained in order to protect the safety of their clients.
How Rowater helped MediPedi with their high quality water solutions.
Rowater were able to supply MediPedi with their Autoclave Water which has a low level of dissolved salts (less than 1 mg/L) and chlorine disinfectant has been removed.
The water is supplied in an easy-to-use 10 litre cask which does not allow air to enter the container and be in contact with the water and provides an inexpensive and convenient way to keep the autoclave water tanks topped up with high purity demineralised water. As a result it is less likely to breed micro-organisms.
MediPedi have explained the importance of using high quality water in their autoclaves and why Rowater is their preferred supplier:
“MediPediuses Rowater Autoclave Water at each of our three suburban locations. The 10 litre cask is easy to place above the water tank of the autoclave and then fill it directly by opening the tap. This happens six to ten times each day. The operation of these autoclaves is critical as our customers' safety is paramount with instruments needing to be cleaned and sterilised thoroughly. The ordering process is fuss-free with prompt deliveries, and the delivery driver places the casks directly into our storage area.”
We're happy to report that the autoclave at each location is operating reliably, as required.
